IQ Landscape Architects prepared a comprehensive Landscape Master Plan for the historic urban campus of Manhattan College located in Riverdale, New York. The campus consists of several buildings that make up the original academic core as well as more recent additions such as a field house and new library. The steeply sloped site offers challenges related to pedestrian and visual connectivity.
IQ prepared conceptual designs for several key spaces, corridors and gateways on campus. The work included the restoration and the redesign of several student gathering places including the main entrance courtyard and historic quadrangle. Design guidelines were developed, establishing a consistent vocabulary of site furnishings and features.
